The LTL Freight extension provides instant LTL freight cost for your shoppers for nationwide delivery from over 350 LTL freight carriers.

The current release allows you to configure your pickup location and default freight class. No contract, usage fees or minimum volume is required. You will not be required to open any freight accounts directly with any of the 350+ LTL carriers providing rates through our system. Additionally, the login and password you receive when your account is activated will work for the shipping extension as well as our website where you'll be able to schedule, manage, and track your shipments. You can then provide the tracking number ("PRO number") to your customers for real time tracking of their shipment.
SINGLE/MULTIPLE PICKUP LOCATIONS:
The initial release of this extension is configured for carts that ship from one location/warehouse. If you have multiple warehouses or pickup locations, you can set your pickup location as a central point. Multiple warehouses will be enabled in a future release.
FREIGHT CLASSES:
Freight classes can be confusing if you're unfamiliar with LTL Freight. We're happy to assist you in determining appropriate freight classes for your products. This release allows you to set an "FAK Class" (meaning one-class-fits-all). For example, if you sell car engines and ship them on pallets, they are always class 85. For more complicated inventories that include varying freight classes, we will enable this functionality in a future release. However, you can use a default class that fits the majority of your products to provide a close estimate for shipping costs.
USERNAME & PASSWORD:
A demo username and password are provided in the extension. This will get you up and running. Once you set up a live account (quick and easy!), we'll provide a live username and password. You'll then see that your shipping rates are significantly lower than the general public rates. You'll also be able to log into our online freight management system to schedule and manage all of your shipments. The process is easy and very similar to scheduling a UPS pickup. The website will even spit out a Bill of Lading, which you can hand to the driver that picks up your freight.

A "README FIRST" file is included in the download. PLEASE READ THIS FIRST as it explains very detailed information regarding changes to the database and core files as well as the new extension files. Support is provided via email contact in the readme file. Please note that as this is a free extension, we can only provide email support.
