Once logged in admin , navigate to extension > modules to the Manufacturer module.
This module allowes you to display manufacturers in a module in 4 different styles: As a carousel , as a list , as a wall and as a selector.
+++ UPDATED - You can now select globally featured manufacturers that you will be able to use in all the featured manufacturers modules, and you will also be able to set Instance Featured Manufacturers for each module
