Live options is designed to give those with large amounts of product options the ability to edit options and products, without
A) options being deleted and re-inserted
B) having to post all of the option data when posting a product edit
This is ideal for those running on less powerful servers or lots of product options
This modification has been tested on versions 1.5.0, 1.5.1, 1.5.2, and 1.5.3.1, so should work on all other versions between them without a problem. It should also work with future updates assuming no major changes are made to the options admin or the database structure used to store options
Please note that while every effort has been made to check the integrity of this working without corrupting options, there could be a chance though is minimal. At any rate, you should be making regular backups of your database so that you can restore if you need to
