If your company sells products which require shipping in a B2B fashion, whether you sell wholesale or retail with a business oriented customer base you'll often find certain business clients who prefer for either for a cleaner accounting path or they feel your shipping rates aren't the 'best'. This allows for customers to select and enter their shipping account information to be billed. The method can be limited by store, and customer group; You can provide a list of shipping carriers / methods that you will allow the customer to select from.

Once a customer has entered their information it is saved to their profile so that they do not need to re-enter it each checkout (mind you they are still provided the option to edit / change it during checkout). Subsequently, the shipping method and account number is easily viewable in all order areas making it easy for your shipping department to view the information.
