Re: Making proper external URL link for a product (OC 3.0.3.6)

Furthermore, if you want to copy and paste urls then why keep the "?search=k7" part if you are not using it (for text highlight for instance). Yes, I too normally trim off the"?search=xxx" bit. What I need to do is rebuild my SEO as I broke some links by using more than one SEO ...

Re: Making proper external URL link for a product (OC 3.0.3.6)

My question is: Is there a secret to creating proper product links to insert elsewhere online? No secret - OpenCart does this by default unless something has broken your site. That is what I thought - that I did something that created bad links. Too much playing around with extensions I'm sure - so...

Re: Making proper external URL link for a product (OC 3.0.3.6)

On second thought, seems that whenever your seo url does not exist, the loop begins. use any non-existing seo url and it goes. Did you run a mod on the seo logic? and get rid of this part (why is that there)? RewriteRule ^(.*)-p-(.*).html$ product_info.php?products_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} Rewrite...

Re: Making proper external URL link for a product (OC 3.0.3.6)

Looks like a problem with a redirect on your site. What rewrite and redirect rules do you have in your htaccess? Do you have any extensions that add redirects? That was my initial thought too - that I had broken .htaccess in some way that was generating the redirects and the "https://flippers....

Re: Making proper external URL link for a product (OC 3.0.3.6)

It needs to be like this: https://flippers.com/catalog_oc/index.php?route=product/search&search=k7 I'm afraid that isn't going to work for me - I'm trying to use the direct product's URL. In an example I just gave I go to the product using the search engine, then click on the actual product.Now...

Re: Making proper external URL link for a product (OC 3.0.3.6)

It needs to be like this: https://flippers.com/catalog_oc/index.php?route=product/search&search=k7 No, these are seo url product pages which come from the search results page, not the search page itself, the ?search=k part is then attached to that product url https://flippers.com/catalog_oc/act...

[Solved!] Making proper external URL link for a product (OC 3.0.3.6)

I've got a problem where sometimes I have generated links that look like this a little while ago: https://flippers.com/catalog_oc/actuating-lever-k7-p-2223.html?search=k7 and that doesn't work any more - gives me 'too many redirect' errors and the URL ends up like this: https://flippers.com/catalog_...

Re: Fatal PHP Error Detected - index.php?route=checkout/register/save

PayPal can be quite slow at times sending IPNs because of network bottlenecks. In other words, don't worry about if a transaction went thought unless it doesn't show up that day...I'll remember that in case it happens again. Any thoughts on the Fatal PHP Error? I don't think they are related, and I...

Re: Fatal PHP Error Detected - index.php?route=checkout/register/save

Missing IPN from PayPal due to network issues? Check your server's raw access log. What is very strange is an hour after I posted the extra sentence about a customer who didn't get confirmation of an order going through (nor did he show up in my system) I got a note from PayPal saying we have an or...

Re: Forged email reply-to using Contact Us page OC 3.0.3.6

... You could try comparing the headers of the spam contact form email and a legitimate contact form email, to see if there are any major differences. Yes, that is what I plan to do. True, and I realize that, still it was spam and I am trying to find out why it occurred.
Perhaps I am reading more into it than is reasonable?
Aren't the Forged.. and other 'test=' warnings relevant?
Thanks,

Re: How to change the URL of my store logo...

Well, in the end I've used FTP to modify header.twig in the /catalog/catalog/view/theme/default/template/common/ directory. This seems to not get reset such as when I use the theme editor and then leave that twig file and do anything else. I'll see if it is still working tomorrow, but I kinda would ...

You could search through the modifications log to see if anything is changing header.twig.
Where do I find the modifications log? Nothing named modifications in the log section that I can see. Is this something that one can turn on?

Thanks!

Re: How to change the URL of my store logo...

Thanks for the reminder! However, well it seems header.twig isn't being used in my store. I must have an extension or setting that is over-riding it. I went to admin/design/theme editor/common/header.twig and no changes there made any changes on the test site. I am just using the default theme too. ...
