The option to checkout as a guest or register at the beginning of the checkout, can I simply program a checkbox at the end of the checkout so the customer can click it and it will change guest to register and they will be registered upon completion? They should only require very small adjustments, so you could ask the extension developers or pay a developer from the Commercial Support Forum.

I think he's suggesting get those files from the latest release and overwrite the equivalent files on your site.

Sometimes a change is made that would cause a problem but the cache isn't cleared, so that problem only appears much later.

Most experienced developers would still recommend using the latest version of OC 3.
