Product Attributes in 1.5.1.1 more intuitive?

Hi folks I've got two issues with the feature "Attribute". Yes, I have read " They must be previously set up in CATALOG -> Attribute Groups and Attributes. ", but i think this could be more intuitive, as not everybody will spot this right away. And: What if you'd like a restricted user to use attrib...

Anyone else thinking this would be very helpful if you have 300+ products, so this could maybe become a feature request?

Re: Adding predefined text blocks to products?

When added as a product it could look like anything you put in the "Description" and would be part of the overall "Description" – just added before, like this… --This is a text block------------------------------- Sony's HD World currently covers many products across different categories. But, even ...

Re: Force visitor to register/login

Can you post your layout.tpl code please. A loop should not be created, as the code breaks when $this->url->http('account/login') == $breadcrumbs[1]['href'] or check whether changing from $this->redirect($this->url->https('account/login')) to (just 'http') $this->redirect($this->url->http('account/l...

Re: Force visitor to register/login

This is a quick way which works for me… Put this in line 1 of your layout.tpl (view/theme/default/template/common/layout.tpl) <?php if (!$this->customer->isLogged() && $this->url->http('account/login') != $breadcrumbs[1]['href']) { $this->redirect($this->url->https('account/login')); } ?> Cheers

Re: Interaction with accounting software

Hi I've done this ( not with OpenCart ) a few years ago for a "Baan - enterprise resource planning system" and a custom built shop on a PHP/IIS/MS-SQL Server. But if you got MySQL5 running, you could achieve the same by creating a "VIEW" on the OpenCart order tables, with all fields required for imp...

Re: slimming down opencart?

Oh well, MVC(+L) sort of has been established at this forum, whether people know what it exactly means or not… I see MVCL as a reflection of the folder structure… Anyway as for google, personally I would not send any business data to their server—google terms&conditions are not in favor of privacy. ...

Re: sliming down opencart?

Thanks Readyman I was more thinking in the line of how user group permissions are set in the admin section. If something similar(or a simple hack) was available in the frontend, one could restrict access to only what he needs in his instance of opencart. But as for sliming down and "gain a little pe...

slimming down opencart?

Hi folks Is there any quick and safe way sliming down opencart, when there are things you're sure you'll never use? Example would be the admin "common/home" in the Statistics it calls http://chart.apis.google.com, which I (and some other maybe) don't want at all. public function report() { $this->lo...

Re: 1.2.8 "Related Products" bug

…there is no link in the related product code to the categories. Well Daniel, then allow me to point out, where you're wrong… Formatting the SQL statement a bit and looking at it at runtime I'm getting: SELECT *, pd.name AS name, p.image, m.name AS manufacturer, ss.name AS stock , (SELECT AVG(r.rat...

Re: 1.2.8 "Related Products" bug

You're welcome pee So in short… you can confirm a product without a category will break the link in the related products tab. This is what I said from the start and this should not be the case, as it's legitimate to have products not assigned to any category—hence I'd say it is bug and it does happe...

1.2.8 "Related Products" bug

Same bug as in 1.2.6 The feature "Related Products" shows a bug, when the attached product has no Category assigned.
