Canada Post - OC 3.0.3.9 and PHP 8 --> Extension Recommendation Wanted

What are people using for Canada Post live quoting on OpenCart 3.0.3.9 with PHP 8? Looked at "Canada Post WebService Live Rates 1.5.x/2.x/3.0/Mijo" and it seems feature rich but no mention of OC3.0.3.9 or PHP8 support, and updates have not occurred since Jun 2022. Any other stable real-tim...

OpenCart 3.0.2.0 - Removing Google Fonts to Optimize Page Load Speeds

Wondering if anyone has ventured into the optimization of their OC install to minimize page load speeds. One opportunity would be to eliminate the loading of external font files, such as Google fonts, and use default browser fonts. In running Google PageSpeed Insights on a site, there is a fairly la...

Re: OpenCart 3.0.2.0 - How to NOT handle 404 error pages

Paul. The problem is the 404 handling in the .htaccess file never seems to be "seen". It would appear that no matter what, OpenCart is managing these. Could it be the positioning of the ErrorDocument 404 /blank.html statement in the .htaccess that is preventing it from running? Or, are you...

OpenCart 3.0.2.0 - How to NOT handle 404 error pages

Looking for advice on an issue that is plaguing my site. It would appear that malicious visitors are forcing invalid URLs on my site, which seems to be resulting in high host CPU usage (pinned at 99 to 100%). OpenCart 3.0.2.0 seems to be taking all page requests (including 404 pages) and processing ...

Re: OC 3.0.2.0 PHP 7.3.23 - Class 'mysqli' not found

You nailed it exactly with your comment early on about occurring every minute. I set out this morning to figure out what happens on a timed basis, which took me to CRON, and there it was.. Feels good to find and fix - but what trip to get here.... Thanks mikeinterserv for the observation (that I sho...

Re: OC 3.0.2.0 PHP 7.3.23 - Class 'mysqli' not found

How large is your log for this error and are the timings intermittent or CONSTANT I think maybe the port became unavailable for some reason on your server. Something I noticed on the error log It happened EXACTLY every minute. There must be clue there somewhere. I just had a look and you are correc...

Re: OC 3.0.2.0 PHP 7.3.23 - Class 'mysqli' not found

Bit more of an update. The hosting company says : [root@SERV-xxxx public_html]# yum list | grep ea-php73 | grep mysql ea-php73-php-mysqlnd.x86_64 1:7.3.23-1.el7.cloudlinux.2 The support tech also commented: mysqlnd does pretend to be mysqli in some cases, due to this the php binary does show mysqli ...

Re: OC 3.0.2.0 PHP 7.3.23 - Class 'mysqli' not found

As ADD Creative said just the MySqL was ditched but that's neither here nor there in this case. It is an error that rarely pop sup and may be related to the library installed on the server. Its probably NOT a coincidence it happened AFTER a server change. A FATAL error will USUALLY show up on the f...

the host, they mentioned: "I have confirmed the listed modules at the end of your response are present. mysql/mysqli no longer exist as of PHP 7.0 and have been replaced by mysqlnd." I would find another host :-) I thought the answer was a bit out there. I have asked to have the issue rai...

[SOLVED] OC 3.0.2.0 PHP 7.3.23 - Class 'mysqli' not found

[SOLVED] Running OC 3.0.2.0 and upgraded to PHP 7.3.23, and the hosting company recently moved us to a "cloudlinux PHP" server (more cpu cores, ram, etc). Today I noticed in the logs that I am seeing a PHP Fatal Error - but I am not seeing any problems on the site itself. [27-Jan-2021 18:0...
