HTTPS issue
Switching from secure to non secure
Correct! Change the HTTP_SERVER and HTTP_CATALOG entries to using https:// in your config.php files!

Re: Cart empties after failed login

I am unable to replicate this error. After a failed login the shopping cart remains the same.

Please provide some more details, e.g. OC version, extensions used, web theme, website URL etc.

Re: Add cost on pickup from store

You can also do this with Weight Based Shipping. Just add a geo zone called "Pickup" that is the area you offer your pickup shipping method, and then enter your cost in this format: 9999:5.00 That would charge $5.00 for that shipping option. You can do this for multiple geo zones if you need more t...

Re: Add cost on pickup from store

This would require a separate shipping extension. You could copy the existing 'Flat Rate' shipping method and rename it to e.g. 'Pickup'.

Hello!
How can I configure the client account so as to eliminate a series of options such as: subscriptions, loyalty points, etc.
Thank you.
VERSION OC 3.0.3.6
This would require a modification of OpenCart. You can find a professional developer for this on the commercial section of this forum.

Re: Site has too many redirects (302's)

You do get some errors, but there appears to be no issues with re-directs: GEThttps://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=inherit [HTTP/3 400 Bad Request 33ms] The resource from “https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=inherit” was blocked due to MIME type (“text/html”) mismatch (X-Content-Type-Options:...

Re: spam customer register

Most captchas are easily overcome by modern spambots these days. We use an invisible honeypot trap field, and automatically check for expected key/mouse/touch events, to distinguish between genuine human users and spambots, this approach is far more effective.

Re: Exception: Error:

The issue with the MYSQL40 is already resolved in the OC 3.0.x maintenance branch, as well as in 4.0.x master branch.
For 3.0.3.7 use this mysqli.php: https://github.com/opencart/opencart/bl ... mysqli.php

Re: Exception: Error:

As Johnathan pointed out, you are using OpenCart 4 which is still heavily work in progress and not suitable for live sites.
Please use the last stable release 3.0.3.7.

Re: Looking for a mechanism to add products

Currently it looks like a default setup, no modifications are required. What's the difference? What exactly do you want to achieve? Agreed, this looks like it can be covered by using the standard OC filter functionality. And you can easily define filters and then use them in many products and categ...

Re: Question about "Page"-Ready to chage from woocommerce to opencart

While OpenCart is primarily an ecommerce software you can nevertheless install CMS extensions for pure content pages, including menu entries. See e.g. our simple Content Management System, or other similar extensions, in the OpenCart marketplace.

Re: cannot install

I don't think you are using a folder /var/www/www/opencart/, rather it's likely to be /var/www/opencart/.
Check your config.php files and your .htaccess.

Re: A customer tries to checkout using "Register".. error pops up

How can I solve this??
By giving us proper details of your problem description, such as OC version, extensions installed, web theme, site URL etc.

In a standard OpenCart 3.0.3.7 none of its files contain something like 'document.cookie', and I am unable to reproduce your error.

Re: text_empty does not translate

I am unable to reproduce your error, see e.g. our OC 3 demo at https://www.mhccorp.com/demo/software where the text_empty message is displayed in every chosen language.

Without further details, nobody will be able to help you. What is your OC version? Any extensions installed? Web theme? Site URL?

This might help: https://litextension.com/blog/opencart-vs-woocommerce/

For ecommerce sites with 500 to 2000 products OpenCart should be just fine.

Re: OC 3.0.3.2 vs 3.0.3.7.1 Condor github page

OC 3.0.3.2 doesn't fully support PHP 7.4, you'd need a newer OC version for the latter, such as OC 3.0.3.7.

Re: Why in the world would people create orders and send to stolen card real address?

We had the same issue, with customers using stolen credit cards, hence we wrote up a small IP blacklist extension which will alert the shop owner for future orders coming from the same IP-address used by the buyer who originally used a stolen credit card.

Re: iphone users cannot checkout in 3.0.3.2

Since nobody else can reproduce it, it might be a good idea to post some more details about your website, such as OC version, extensions used, web theme, URL of your website. Without these, your information is simply too vague in order to help you.
