So, why did you approve this post in the first place? You had the choice of not approving it and to avoid all this... Did you choose to approve it, only to have a chance to complain about it?? I really don't get it, OSWorx.. To be fair, OSWorx already answered it: But we leave such messages, in any...

It's a pizza place with 70-80 different pizzas, each one with about 50 options
That is not a pizzeria but a fast-food factory or sweat-shop.

I love to see the list of the 80 "different" pizzas and the list of the 50 option "each"...

Re: From 1.5x to 2.3.0.2, is the new 3.x a wise move?

We've been using OpenCart 1.5x on 5 sites for years now with a pretty high satisfaction rate. A few hiccups here and there but overall quite pleased. Recently changed hosts and decided it was time to update as I wanted a native responsive behavior. I just recently went with 2.3.0.2 as I read that i...

Re: Banner button no longer there?

thanks JohnP! After trying to assist me online with help and advice so i could look at sorting my opencart issues myself ( and wasn't succeeding) John offered to help via PM. I Skyped him my problems in more detail and he offered at no cost to go online and look at the issues. It wasn't long and he...

Re: The website is quite slow, what else can I do other than what I did?

Here is the website: https://delbox.ro We have journal 3 as the theme. We have enough ram + cpu power to handle the amount of concurent visitors that are set in apache. The vps uses SSD for the disk so the reading/writing speed is as good as it can be. We have cloudflare in front of the website so ...

That's definitely not normal.

It also depends on what software you are using to upload the file to the server, but yes, like xxvirusxx mentioned, 2 to 3 minute at worst..

Re: 2016 & Ongoing - Why are there so many Terrible themes?!

@Burt65: Let’s chill out here. Nobody stops you from using Journal3. This forum thread here is about web themes, and we have posted details here from experience which will hopefully help OpenCart users to make an informed decision before running into problems. @JNeuhoff So, if this thread is about ...

Re: 2016 & Ongoing - Why are there so many Terrible themes?!

@ Burt65 : Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the subject of "themes" here. Your expectation and comprehension of a theme is different from the majority of OpenCart users here. To start with the terminology: Opencart doesn't use the expression "skin", it uses the the expression "theme" which may, ...

Both options are available for all of us and been used by OC shop owners and members here, for years.. Okay, then please - for the audience: post a few Skins and a few (good) Themes. And as you wrote: Skins only, not Themes or Templates. I was also very curious about this, for education purpose. As...

Re: 2016 & Ongoing - Why are there so many Terrible themes?!

@JeepSWAG It seems to me that people here are constantly confusing a "full customisable theme" with a merely simple "change of skin". And somehow a debate was initiated. Do you want to have full control on what and how your online shop does work and looks like? Get a full customisable theme! Do you ...

Thank you for your insight. I agree with you, if it works and your doing business without anything missing no need to upgrade. I was just wondering if there were any benefits (security, features) that would make it compelling. As a business owner, I'm always working on enhancing and future proofing...

Re: Upgrading from 2.2.0.0 to 3.x - What are the benefits/needs, security issues, and writing extensions

I'm bringing this post back to life. In 2020, is there any reason to upgrade a 2.3.0.2 store to OC 3.0.3.3? In 2020, like in any other previous year, the real question still is: Do YOU have any REAL needs to upgrade? If your online shop is working fine, it has no issue and it does everything you ne...

Yeah... Journal looks so bloated and ugly. I can't believe that people actually are using it..
