Re: OpenCart Marketplace Updates

1) The license text string is terribly misleading. "12 Months Free Support" does not imply that its a license period, nor that there is a limited period in regards to download availability. It simply says "you get free support for 12 months". Additionally, there is no tooltip sty...

Re: Excellent Service

Its a good idea, but the problem is that with a fully vetted system, people can bend it or skew success without actually mitigating jobs. A proper excellent service type of site needs "escrow" type features, with periods of review, security, and funds release. I would suggest https://www.u...

Marketplace Comments - Please make a confirm delete.

I mis-clicked a marketplace comment on one of my extensions and deleted it instead of replying. The user never commented again. Can you please add a confirm to the delete comment action so this doesn't happen to others? Thank you

Re: Opencart 3.0.2.0 default theme doesn't show changes

@JNeuhoff - Wow, thanks for making that issue report. I hope it is resolved soon. Go to the Opencart Dashboard and click on the Gear in top right of the screen, then turn OFF the cache for the Theme, and then Refresh >:D UX Sin 1: Putting the clear theme and SASS cache in a gear icon in the corner o...

Re: No bells and whistles Themes!

This sound like an interesting theme idea -- something that I have not seen created for Opencart either. We may be able to build a child theme for this parts directory sorta purpose. Not sure we could do it for free, and would need more info about your store. You can email us at support@creadev.org ...

Re: "Rules Based" Import/Export Extension Required

This sounds like a cool extenstion, and probably really useful. We dont have time at the moment to build something like that, however, if you are looking for a rules system then the person you should talk to is Jonathan of Clear Thinking: https://forum.opencart.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&am...

Re: ocmod.zip File could not be uploaded!

All zip files that you upload with Ocmod must contain an install.xml, preferably an upload folder, and have the same name format ending in ".ocmod.zip" like:

Code: Select all

the_extension_name.ocmod.zip
Those last 2 zip files are missing the .ocmod part.

Re: theme zooms in when typed link with 'www'

Ah my bad, thought that got resolved on correct domain. Its because he is trying to test/use 2 versions of the domain (while only 1 could run for security reasons). Its CORS saying the www site isnt allowed to load assets from the non-www site, or vice versa. Irkluojubbd, if you could ask your host ...

Re: theme zooms in when typed link with 'www'

Lol guys. Stop for a sec here. Look at his screenshots closely: In the first www one there is no "zoom" icon in the address bar. (zoomed 100%) In the second, without www, there is a "zoom" icon in the address bar (its zoomed out to 80-90%). So to fix, reset the zoom on the non ww...

Re: Automatic customer when order is make

The password can be random generated and sent into email as "Welcome to {name} Your account is , Username Password Activate account by click to this link You can change the password when you log in" I started building this out as an ocmod for Opencart 3, it works pretty well so far. I am ...

Re: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0, failed to connect mail server?? help!!

Just a hunch here, but If you don't use SMTP mail, it could be an autofill issue. Basically it seems like OC is saying its trying to use SMTP, but its not working. First place to look is admin settings > mail tab, make sure there is nothing filled in the SMTP fields. Additionally, make sure the drop...

Re: https how do I change my site to it

Thanks for replies so when I buy a cert and my host installs it, thats it my site will now be https ? 1) Get an SSL certificate from your host for both the www and non-www version of your domain. They should offer free ones through either LetsEncrypt, cPanels Comodo. Else, pay for one :) 2) Make su...

Re: Automatic customer when order is make

This is a good idea. Cs-cart has this sort of behavior and it's very handy. It's just a customer that can't log in, like no password = account locked.

I will look into how this would work for oc 3.x over the weekend

Re: Let's Encrypt SSL

Nice working getting it running. I just checked out onestopmods.com and noticed a couple things: The www version of your site doesnt redirect to the non-www, this causes duplicate content issues. Your LE certificate supports both modes which is good. The best place to enforce is at your server level...

Re: Regarding the Current Forum Spam

So part of the partnership requirements say we need to be continually active in forums. But the forums have been flooded with spam for month(s). Why are you are not throttling posts? People shouldn't be allowed to post 3+ new topics a minute like you are letting them do. Also, they shouldn't be allo...

Hi, I just checked out your site, and its still having major SSL issues. Are you still trying to repair it? We might be able to help you. Re: Product/product pages in SSL, new Chrome security warning for input fields

Using htaccess can help, but it will not solve this issue in the long wrong. The link library generating those urls is insecure most of the time. Chrome is saying this because your form POST is going to an insecure endpoint that may be generated automatically in the future. Because Opencart doesnt h...

Re: Self signed SSL certificate warning

If you are using a cPanel server/host, you can generate a free SSL using AutoSSL. This will be either Comodo or LetsEncrypt. This is the recommended way for this type of hosting plan. Then you need to enforce SSL everywhere. You can do this with htaccess but there will still be errors and http stuff...
