Re: Uninstalling VQMOD

Yes, this process is correct for uninstalling vQmod:

"To delete VQMOD all [you] need do is to restore the /public/index.php and /public/admin/index.php to the default OC installation files, and then delete the /public/vqmod/ directory"

Re: Is it worth switching from opencart 2 to opencart 3

General consensus is "No", it's not worth it. Wait until 3.1 is out and then re-evaluate.

Re: Access Image Manager from Admin Panel

Usually I just go to the product or category editing area, and trigger the image manager that way. I don't think there's a stand-alone way to do it in a normal OpenCart installation, but it would be a good idea to have a button on the main dashboard (or some area dedicated to this). Hopefully that w...

Re: array printed to error log for every item ordered

That's not a standard feature, so someone probably added logging code at some point and forgot to remove it. If it happens when the order is confirmed, check out any vQmod or ocMod that modifies this file: /catalog/model/checkout/order.php You should also check out the original file to see if that h...

Re: trans_db in User Group Permissions

To delete the database tables you can remove them using phpMyAdmin or some other database editor. The files you can delete using FTP. However, if you don't know what added those files, I'd highly recommend figuring that out first. There may be other database tables, files, or components that have be...

Re: Making product URL to have product name, not like this - index.php?route=product/product&path=79&product_id=91

OpenCart has SEO URL functionality built-in for products, categories, manufacturers, and information pages. You first need to rename the .htaccess.txt file that comes in the installation to .htaccess. Then, turn on SEO URLs in System > Settings > Server. Once you do that, you can add SEO keywords to...

Re: Write a support request on the opencart contact

Also, check whether you have adblockers enabled. Those might be blocking the image.

Re: trans_db in User Group Permissions

Those aren't normal database tables, so my guess is that they were used by some mod that transferred data from another database. You'd have to check all your mods to be sure though. You may be able to remove them if it was a one-and-done thing, but if it was, then a well-coded extension should have ...

Re: prepaid/gift card redeem system

OpenCart has a gift voucher functionality that would work for the prepaid code itself, but usually that has to be applied directly to an order when used. If you want customers to be able to "store" it in their account, then this mod might be the other part of the puzzle for you: https://www.opencart...

Re: [SOLVED] API keys

3.0 has some good new features, like the theme editor and removing FTP requirements for the installer. However, it needs a lot of polish, and there are still bugs in the main branch 2 years after it was released (like the theme editor not being compatible with any ocMod that edits the same file). Be...

Re: [SOLVED] API keys

Are you trying to install it directly from the 3.0 marketplace? That message is one that is typical of using that functionality. If so, you need to hook up your OpenCart store to the marketplace in your installation. You can do that in Extensions > Marketplace by clicking the red warning sign at the...

Re: 3D Secure required by law for all EU transactions

No, the built-in Braintree extension does not support 3D Secure 2.0, because it was released before that was implemented by Braintree. I can't say if or when the OpenCart team will update their extension, but if you need one before the September deadline, my Braintree Payment Gateway supports 3D Sec...

Re: Module Settings make your own and own mySQL tables

Generally, creating your own database tables isn't recommended unless you need a lot of data storage. The "setting" table is supposed to hold data for extensions (and the "module" table for modules) --- that's what they're designed for. If you really do need a lot of data storage, then creating your...

Re: API keys

The API system in OpenCart can be found in System > Users > API. You should be able to add new API users / IPs in there.

It's used for some functionality that requires accessing the front-end, like editing orders, but some extensions also leverage it for other things they do.

Re: Icons

What's happening is that your site resolves differently for www vs non-www, which means that it is essentially appearing as two different sites. Whatever is declared in the /config.php file will work for the extension (and any part of the site utilizing ajax), and the other version will not. You nee...
