Re: Exclude products for shipping, pay by pick up

For restricting your shipping based on product, you could use Restrict Shipping Methods to do that. You'd set up restrictions to determine when methods are available, and could make sure they only show up if those frozen products were NOT in the cart. Here's an example: -----------------------------...

Re: Pass data from module to template ...

Try turning off or clearing your Theme cache. You do that in the main admin dashboard, using the gear icon in the upper right. If that doesn't fix it, try refreshing your ocMod cache in Extensions > Modifications as well. You may have an ocMod file affecting the product.twig file. Lastly, you genera...

Re: What Can I Do If I Get Scammed By a Developer on This Forum?

It's true that developers should be given some grace if they don't respond right away, but personally I can't even imagine going 12 days without responding to a client who's already paid me for work. That's negligent unless there really is a major health issue or internet-related issue. However, yod...

Re: [SOLVED] - Google reCaptcha: "ERROR for site owner: invalid site key."

v3 runs in the background invisibly, and doesn't actually have a captcha that customers have to solve. It assigns the visitor a score and then you can prevent/allow submitting a form based on that score. I have a Google reCAPTCHA v3 extension that works with it, but it's different than the v2 captch...

Re: Shipping costs at cart view, without "Estimated shipping"?

I have an Automatic Shipping extension that is designed for this. Once products are added to the cart, it runs the shipping costs in the background and will apply them to the order. Customers should be able to see the cost on the order just like if they ran the shipping estimator themselves. Feel fr...

Re: [SOLVED] - Google reCaptcha: "ERROR for site owner: invalid site key."

Ah yes, if you're using v3 keys they won't work in the normal OpenCart captcha. It was created before v3 was out, so it doesn't explicitly mention that it uses the "normal v2" recaptcha, though it probably should in future releases.

Glad I could help you figure it out.

Re: Google reCaptcha: "ERROR for site owner: invalid site key."

Double-check that your domain is entered correctly in the Google admin panel. You should be able to regenerate a new key by just deleting your existing keys/setup, and create a new one. You can do that here:

https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin

Re: Buy without shipping option

Setting "Requires Shipping" to "No" should not activate downloads at all. If it does, you probably have a mod or theme installed that is doing that. If you do, contact the developer for support. If you set that setting for every product to "No", then OpenCart will not ask for a shipping address or s...

Re: [SOLVED] - Pass data from Controller to Controller

Everyone is correct that the session is stored between all page and controller loading, so you should be able to use a variable/array like they describe. However, if that's not happening with your payment gateway then the URL is most likely being accessed by the payment method server , and not the o...

Re: "Announcements" in the forum

Announcements are at the top of every forum so that they're very visible. However, nobody has been monitoring those, and there are quite a few now, so I just went through them and cut the number down. A few of them didn't still need to be up, and I combined a few together, so it should be better now...

Re: Filters for attributes (1)

Hi trueliar, my Ultimate Filters Module extension can do all your requirements except this one: - have a (selectable) -slide- filter for attributes with numeric values. For example for kilometers (in cars) The rest of them it can handle, and it also lets you filter on options, stock status, rating, ...

Re: VQMod file checked.cache - can someone explain what it is or if needed?

To avoid scaring others that read this topic, I want to point out that vQmod is typically just fine to install. The checked.cache file becoming huge is not a common issue, though it does happen sometimes (usually if you have a ton of mods installed). I've seen hundreds --- if not thousands --- of in...

Re: Payment Option Based On Currency Selection

If you have two separate payment extensions, Restrict Payment Methods can restrict them by currency. The checkout would then only show the appropriate payment method based on the customer's currency selection. Feel free to take a look at the screenshots and demo site, and if you're interested let me...

Re: Security requirements

PCI Compliance is generally only required if you're handling card data on your server. Most payment gateways these days have ways to avoid doing that, so you only need the very lowest level of PCI Compliance (which most servers meet). It depends on what payment gateway you're using, but most good on...

Re: Security requirements

You basically just need to get an SSL certificate on your server (which you can ask your web host to install for you). They usually run around $50 - $100 per year, though you can get a free one from Let's Encrypt if you know how to install one yourself. Your web host might help you with one like tha...

Re: Rich snippet inc tax

If you get a 500 error you probably did the edit wrong. Double-check that you didn't remove an extra parenthesis or something like that. The new line should look like this: static::$tags['price'] = number_format($this->tax->calculate($product_info['special'] ? $product_info['special'] : $product_inf...
