Re: Issues when upgrading to mySQL 5.6

I've recently been told by my hosting company they are upgrading mySQL to 5.6 and I wanted to see if there would be any issues with my Opencart v1.5.6 when this takes place, or anything I need to be aware about to fix beforehand please? The site has gone through many bespoke customisations over the...

These issues have already been fixed on the master branch.
It would be nice if they'd release a patch version since it's been over a year. Not everyone knows how to grab the updates via Github

Re: Can anyone help diagnose a Multi Store setup?

In cPanel under 'addon domains (this screen - download/file.php?id=38779) you need to point the 'document root' to 'public_html' for the 2nd domain as well.

Re: Can anyone help diagnose a Multi Store setup?

I hope you are using your real domain name within the first screenshot. The SSL radio button option is under the Server tab. Is it enabled? How about the document root location for the other domain? Is it set to the same as the first domain you show?

Re: SSL Support

Both of your config.php files look correct. In the Opencart admin under System > Settings, go to the server tab and make sure the radio button is selected for SSL and save. If that doesn't fix it, I suggest these two changes in your .htaccess file: 1) Put a # before Options +FollowSymlinks ( #Option...

Re: Can anyone help diagnose a Multi Store setup?

When you created the addon domain, did you change the document root to point to the folder where your Opencart files are loaded? Also check to make sure you have the / at the end of the new domain within the Opencart admin area. If you can post screenshots and/or your URL, someone can help you out f...

Re: Suddenly my websites are not appearing on search engines

Just do a Google search for their robots.txt testing tool and then you can login to Webmaster Tools account and find out what the error(s) are with your robots.txt file.

Re: HTTPS query

You would need to check the table in the database and see if it's encrypted. It's also good practice to refresh your passwords on a regular basis using strong and unique passwords for each login (DB User, Opencart users, FTP, cPanel, etc).

You need to check your SSL Certificate installation- You can use following url-

This post is over 8 years old. Are you just trying to get your name out there which is affiliated with NameCheap? BTW, Comodo doesn't issue SSL Certs any longer.

Re: 2.3.02 PhP 7 and Inno DB

Keep in mind that you can't restore a database backup from a system backup using InnoDB. Make sure you're exporting a copy of your DB from phpMyAdmin on a regular basis. Try to use PHP 7.2 if possible as PHP 7.1 is already EOL (End of Life) and there isn't much difference between the two in terms of...

Try deleting the cache files within the cache folders and make sure both of your config.php files are correct. Clear your browser cache and give it a try again.

Re: Host loves changes and it is causing me issues, now with email

Are you checking your spam folder and were there any DNS changes that needed to be made? It sounds like you're trying to keep running Opencart 1.5.x which was release over 6 years ago. I would highly suggest upgrading your store for security patches, new features and responsive designs. You're putti...
