Re: Recommended version

I would suggest upgrading to the 3.x version to remain compliant with PHP supported versions Well, latest OC v.3.x Versions still seem to have some Problems with PHP v.7.4.x as well. It's mainly a new /system/library/encryption.php File, required, to fix that Problem. And in most cases, older OC Ve...

Re: brute force attack on /admin

Astra is another great option if you're willing to pay for a license. Going to suggest that everyone stays clear of Comodo. They do seem to have pretty good ratings on Google, so far. However, their plans seem to be per-process pretty much instead of offering these plans by recurring packages. I am...

Re: .htaccess Redirects

Is that not how OpenCart multi-store works? One main site controlling the other sites? Or have I got that wrong? As far as the .htaccess file goes, you only specify rules for the main domain, even if it's multi store. Multi Store runs off of one set of files on the server (configured in cPanel, ple...

Thanks for the helpful and constructive input...
He is right that you should not be trying to redirect two different domains within the same .htaccess file. What is not working that you are questioning the rules in this file?

Re: Allocation of JIT memory failed

It sounds like you are trying to use PHP 8 which is not supported yet. Try PHP 7.3 and see what happens.

I know your post also had the redirect code. That's why I only highlighted the PKI Validation code that is not needed.

Re: Product Images Disappeared

- When on PHP 8.0, GD uses class object instead of resource ( https://php.watch/versions/8.0/gdimage ) Since when is PHP 8.0 a recommend PHP version for Opencart 3.0.3.6? I suspect you will run into many other hidden issues aside for this under PHP 8. If it is related better stick with PHP 7.3.9 - ...

Re: Security Issue

The cause of this is very likely a poorly written extension. You should be able to ask your hosting provider for more details and then contact the extension developer for a fix. Change your DB username and password and update both of your config.php files to be on the safe side.

Re: Pickup from store - how to add time slots

I know you said that you do not want to add a module but I think that will be your best bet with this, unless one doesn't exist. in that case, you may want to make a post in the commercial services section of the forum.

Re: Site hijacked

This is good advice about changing passwords and checking files. However, it's hard to manually check all of the files and stay on top of them if there's an ongoing attack. I would suggest a firewall to prevent further attacks and a malware scan and cleanup, if needed. Hope you're able to get it str...
