Re: Shipping products in separate boxes

1. OpenCart has ocMod built in, but you can use vQmod with it just fine. You just have to download it and install it, but it's very easy. 2. For OpenCart 3.0.3.6 specifically, there is a bug where .twig files cannot be affected by ocMod files or vQmod files, so you'll need to make an edit to fix tha...

Re: Shipping products in separate boxes

That does look promising, except that it was last updated almost 2 years ago. I guess I should have mentioned I'm running OC 3.0.3.6. OpenCart itself hasn't been significantly updated for almost 4 years, so an extension doesn't need to be updated to continue working. The 3.0 branch has not changed ...

Re: USPS adding insurance option

USPS Pro has a field you can add additional costs to the calculated shipping cost, and it's filled in with the USPS insurance rates by default. That also has a 3-dimensional packing algorithm included, and some other advanced features. Feel free to take a look at the screenshots and demo site, and ...

Re: Weight based Shipping from a specific weight and above

Weight & Volume-Based Shipping can do this, if you're interested. You can set the brackets non-consecutively, so you can leave some out if you want. For example, for certain geo zones you could do this: 10-9999 = 12.20 For your other geo zones, you could do this: 0-1 = 3.50 1-3 = 5.50 3-5 = 7.50 et...

Re: Modifications overrides: /system/storage/modification and /storage/modification

OpenCart 2.x versions used /system/storage/ but OpenCart 3.0 asks you to move it somewhere else, so some people put it into the OpenCart root (and thus it's a /storage/ directory). You can tell which one your site is using if you look in the /config.php and /admin/config.php files --- the DIR_STORAG...

Re: Extensions page GONE!

Try refreshing your ocMod cache in Extensions > Modifications. If it doesn't help the first time, do a second refresh.

Re: looking for discount extension

Category & Product-Based Fee/Discount can do this. You'd set up the requirements as 2 charges, and then use a Charge Combination to ensure they were both met before giving the discount. For example, if you wanted to give 10% off in the situation you describe, you'd do this: ------------------------...

Re: OpenCart 3.0.3.7 Admin Panel Lockout

This is typically related to your session being cleared immediately, which requires you to log in again, and then it happens over and over. I *have* seen this issue with my 3.0 Bug Fixes, because there's a session clearing bugfix in there. However, if you were having this issue without that installe...

Re: Contact Us” page

If you want something more flexible, you could use Form Builder for this, and replace your Contact Us page with it. That would let you add as many additional fields as you want, and the responses are e-mailed directly to the admin just like the normal contact form. Feel free to take a look at the sc...

Re: Warning: opencart.com compromised!

I've been reporting them to the OpenCart support team, and they're removing them after that, but they're a bit behind the spammer. Hopefully they'll implement new protections soon, so that this doesn't keep happening.

Re: Conditional tax based on cart total

If you don't need it tied into the tax system, you could use Total-Based Fee/Discount for this. It lets you set a variable fee based on total, so you could use that as your "tax" and it would calculate correctly based on total. If you need to actually make it part of the OpenCart tax system, then I ...

Re: Free shipping at concrete product: Looking for different way then item option Shipping not required

There are some examples of setups here, the most typical one would be "combining charges for different categories": https://www.getclearthinking.com/category-and-product-based-shipping There's also a demo link in the extension description, so you can try playing around with it if you want. Re: Free shipping at concrete product: Looking for different way then item option Shipping not required

Change Requires Shipping to Free Shipping may work for you. It changes the "Requires Shipping" field to a "Free Shipping" field, so you can mark certain products as "free shipping" products. If there are only those products in the cart, it will activate the Free Shipping method (if you have it enab...
