Re: Homepage contribution problems :(

Hi butterworms, The reason you're not seeing an images tab in the homepage editing area of the catalog, is because another member of the forum (geek) decided he didn't like having an image attached to the story and, subsequently, uploaded a modified version to the contributions site. This would appe...

Re: Events Calendar

Thanks Q. I wasn't sure if there was much interest, since nobody had made any comments. I went ahead and built it anyway, as I use it on my own site (primarily to keep track of family birthdays  ;)). Yes, I can package it up and release it as a contribution. Should be able to upload sometime tomorro...

Re: How high is the demand for a google checkout solution for Open Cart v0.7.7

I think its time to start phasing off of the 0.6 versions.
That's all very well, but suppose your hosting service only has PHP4?

Re: Cant figure out how to change my backround where it ses Your store ect

Also known as a "wrench" At a guess, I'd say American. After all, that's what you do with a "wrench" isn't it? Give it a yank! ;D The "Your Store" image is called background.png which has a relative reference in the css. Actually the "Your Store" image is called "logo.png". The backgound image (bac...

Question

A thread was started in the General Support area of this forum addressing a security issue in version 0.7.7 pointed out by secunia. Apart from a suggestion by Bruce, this issue is still largely unresolved. This thread has since been arbitrarily closed-off with a claim that the issue has been fixed i...

Re: can`t view images after upload

If full screen works fine at 755 why not just leave it there? Changing the permission to 755 make the file executable, this is not needed for images. Setting the permission to 644 on images should be sufficient. However, the real issue here, is that the permissions of 600 are applied to the image o...

Re: Getting "Fatal Error" at checkout. Haven't touched anything!

Why would it all of a sudden need it?
It was never there to begin with, which is probably why the default paypal payment extension never worked properly.

As to why it should be there, I would suspect that every "request" requires a "response".

Re: Getting "Fatal Error" at checkout. Haven't touched anything!

Adding the following line to the "__construct" function at the beginning of the file you mentioned should resolve your problem:-

Code: Select all

$this->response  =& $locator->get('response');

No worries.

You are such an asset to this community.
I don't know that I'm that much of an asset, but thanks for the compliment.

Re: Review SideBox

Edit "catalog/template/default/module/review.tpl" by adding the following <div><a href="<?php echo $review; ?>"><?php echo $name; ?></a></div> above <div><a href="<?php echo $review; ?>"><?php echo $desciption; ?></a></div> This should then display the product name above the description. Regards, Fi...

Re: Fix: Vulnerability to Script Insertion and Cross-Site Scripting

I'd appreciate if further followups be placed on the bug tracker so I can follow it better. I understand your concerns, however, as a "bug" that requires fixing in an upcoming release, Daniel has already addressed this issue (see http://forum.opencart.com/index.php/topic,547.msg8336.html#msg8336 ) ...

Re: Split up categories

You could try editing "catalog/extension/module/category.php". Changing $results = $database->getRows("select c.category_id, cd.name from category c left join category_description cd on (c.category_id = cd.category_id) where parent_id = '0' and language_id = '" . (int)$language->getId() . "' order b...

Re: Portrait images with white backgrounds. Need transparent product images.

Image resizing is done by the relevant controller using the width and height values set in the administration. If you wish to change the size of thumbnail images, go to Admin->Configuration->Setting->Image. You can also turn image resizing off if you wish, by setting "Resize Images" to "No" on this ...

Re: Taxes make no sense in OpenCart!

By default OpenCart displays the prices that are applicable in the region/country the store is located in, inclusive of all charges/taxes applicable in that region/country. With regard to "window shoppers" (still an appropriate term), they see the price that is applicable in your country. I would th...
