Excellent. Although, take note that the media folder does not originally exist out-of-the-box in Opencart. You may have to create this folder as I would highly recommend to rename the folder as well. However, this implementation can be done by building a new module and to link the home layout to it ...

That is not entirely true. The vendor directory may exist inside the original ZIP file such as Opencart v2.3 Beta release. Although, I may exists among other ZIP files.
