Hi,
I hope I put this post in right section/disscussion.

At the moment I'm using OC version 3.0.3.2.
My Web hosting service is using PHP 7.4.16
(They update PHP time to time and old PHP versions can't be used anymore)
Now when they updated to PHP 7.4.16, I got problems with OC version 3.0.3.2.

I have question about updating...to which version would be reasonable to update?
Which version would be stable and easy to update from version 3.0.3.2 ??

I have many extensions, mods and also made own theme and lanquage translation for OC version 3.0.3.2.
Is there any version, that those would work easily.
OR must those be updated also?
OR are there any updatens for OC version 3.0.3.2 to get it work with PHP 7.4.16.

Some time ago I tried to update OC to newer version, but it didn't go so well...

I hope someone can help me with this.
Thank you!

Best reagds,

What exactly are the problems? Did you do a search for what you are seeing?

Please be more specific!

As regards upgrade: I always using a fresh install, the built-in OpenCart upgrade function most of the time will cause problems.

Hi,
I didn’t mean that I want to solve problems with version which I’m using. If there would be newer OC version would be better in the future? But I can be wrong also, this is why I was not so specific and asked which version would be stable and work with old mods etc.

Last time I did fresh install, but mods etc. didn’t work because some different files/some variants or names were changed or were different.
So I re-installed current version.

But if there is no easy solution to this. Then I try to solve problems with current version.

In shop I get following: /storage/modification/catalog/controller/common/header.php on line 15Notice: Trying to access array offset on value of type null in

And in admin I get this :
SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unrecognized token '<'
parsererror
<b>Notice</b>: Trying to access array offset on value of type null in <b>/storage/vendor/scss.inc.php</b> on line <b>1753</b>

Any idea?

Thank you.

If you wish to try and fix there is this: First links should work for the admin and others links for other line giving you the issue.

I've got a test version of OC 3.0.3.7 running with a few essential extensions and so far it's as good as good. I may move some of my clients live sites on to it. It's pretty impressive IMO.

Thank you for answer I'm looking for.
Are there any other similar comments/opinions about version 3.0.3.7 ?
Is it stable and safe version?

If you're not sure about an upgrade clone your live site and upgrade that. You can evaluate it and run some test orders through before committing to it. :)
