OC version. Image link invalid. Since the hosting service does not have a backup feature at all, but does offer the opportunity to their users to pay for it as part of their monthly billing agreement, then it's one reason to do it. However, if you mean that the hosting service does not provide these plans at all, then switching hosting service would be critical to suggest.

However, here's one way to restore the file with most of its configuration: viewtopic.php?f=199&t=198781&p=699560&h ... ON#p699560 .

As for your database credentials information, you'd still need to pull them from your hosting console and re-add them into both config.php files accordingly. If you are not sure how to accomplish this, you could either create a new service request in the Commercial Support section of the forum, or PM me directly on the forum, to get this issue solved as a custom job.

In addition, you'll need to define your HTTP_SERVER and HTTPS_SERVER constants again on both config files.

Another way to do this is to install a new copy (using the same version as your live store) on a subdomain or subfolder and then look at the format of the config.php files. Take those files and update them with the correct paths for your store and upload them to your live site. Once you're done, delete the new install from your server.
Backup is key. Make a copy of each config.php file before replacing them with the updated versions. This gives you the ability to step back if anything goes wrong.

Hosting providers should be making it clear within their terms of service as to whether or not they provide backups to be used for restoration when needed. Every provider is different so reading the fine print is a good idea.
