Noticed that the google sitemap module should have
information/information as the route where as it has product/information

This can be fixed by going to
./catalog/controller/feed/google_sitemap.php and changing line 56 to

Code: Select all

$output .= '<loc>' . str_replace('&', '&', $this->model_tool_seo_url->rewrite(HTTP_SERVER . 'index.php?route=information/information&information_id=' . $information['information_id'])) . '</loc>';
Hope that helps anyone using this mod

Nice catch. I'll fix it in 1.4.8

Thanks, was pure chance that I found it because of my custom seo rules. I'll have to get a demo up of what I have for the more friendly url's. I think they're much nicer to have than the current url alias functions, and are generated automatically

Out of interest, is there any particular point for having multiple URL's for the same products? This will just give duplicate content which google won't index anyway. Surely just the essential links are necessary

Could you please tell how you've done that?

Yup, totally had to rewrite the code for the URL rewriter, it's hard coded in a number of different places to get it to work, and requires modifying a number of different core files. Hopefully when the rewrite is re-introduced in a later version (1.4.9 or 1.5.0 I think) I'll create a mod that will get this to work. If you want this doing before then I can sort it out for a nominal fee (PM me if you're interested)
