How to activate a module

I want to set up the Module in Store so a customer can switch to my other store.
I want to set the Special Module to show some products that are special at the time.
I amusing ver. 1.5.1 and I cannot find any info on the above in this forum.

Go to Admin > Extension > Module and set them up.....?

You've not really been very clear on what you want.
