So, then it's just a matter of purchasing your PayPal Express module, installing it, and configuring it?

So, if the only checkout option I have on my website is for PayPal Express, any customer with a PayPal account can use that to checkout?

Just verifying, because I noticed that you have a checkout option of PayPal AND a checkout option of PayPal Express on your website.

Also, there is no API Settings option under Profile when I log into my PayPal account. I used PayPal's search, and I can find nothing on setting these API Settings for PayPal Express. I could call them on the phone, but as you can see from my post earlier, they don't even know what they are talking about.

Thanks.

Well I'm not surprised they don't know what they are talking about..they employ only morons.
The API stuff is under the profile area:

You may only have it if you have a verified account with bank and credit card. Not sure if paypal has diff rules for outside of USA

Qphoria,

Thanks for the info. I have set everything up in PayPal, so now I am good to go.

When I get home from work today, I will be buying your PayPal Express Module. Will it include instructions on what line of code to change to set the default page to the Credit Card payment page?

Thanks for all your help. PayPal support is useless.

Qphoria,

I will be buying your PayPal Express mod for my company website. I have a client that may also be interested. If he does want me to install your mod on his website, I assume I am not allowed to install the one I purchased, but will need to purchase a second copy/license of the mod?

Thanks again for all the help.

Qphoria,

I purchased and installed your PayPal Express mod. Sorry, but I don't see anything in the instructions about what line of code to change to set the default PayPal page to the Credit Card page instead of the PayPal login page.

Thanks.

1. EDIT: catalog/controller/payment/paypal_express.php

2.FIND:

Code: Select all

$data[] = 'METHOD=SetExpressCheckout';
3. AFTER, ADD:

Code: Select all

$data[] = 'LANDINGPAGE=Billing';

Qphoria,

That worked great.

1) The user's address info is pre-loaded into the Credit Card form, but not his first and last name. Can this same file be modified to pre-load those two fields? If so, what is the change?

2) How do I turn on "paypal_express_survey"?

Thanks for a great mod.

You are not alone.

I have the EXACT same problem... and it looks like I've tried everything you have.

They can manually "return" to the store by clicking the "return to" link, but that is annoying also, because it simply says (return to myemailaddress@mydomain). I'd be OK with it if somewhere between the store or PayPay I could get that line to say (Return to Storename) vs (Return to Email address).

Anyone know how to change that?

When my customers click the link to manually return to the store, it still takes them to the PayPal error page. The only way they can get back to my store is by going there in the browser.

Still no word from PayPal when this will be fixed. Trust me, when I hear from them that this is fixed, I will post to this thread.

I have contacted PayPal support three or four times. All they can tell me is that it is a known problem, and that they are "working on it". Pathetic. I could have fixed it by now myself, if I had access to their source code.

If I had any other options than PayPal, I would do it.

Q,

Thanks for your help! The $data[] = 'LANDINGPAGE=Billing'; worked for Express Checkout. However, on the left side where the order goes the items in the cart are non-existent. See screenshot. Is there a way to fix this?

If I use Paypal Standard, is there specific code to make the billing page primary? (PPStandard works fine and shows product on the left side.)

That's all well and good, but how does that help those of us trying to use PayPal Express with OpenCart? If someone could post the name of the OpenCart module to modify (and how), then maybe some of us could go back to using PayPal Express with OpenCart.

Is this issue resolved?
I have exactly same problem.
This message "Sorry, your last action could not be completed" pops up and not return to Opencart.
In my case, confirmation email is not sent and order is not registered in Sales_Orders.
But payment was done successfully.
Could someone direct me to the solution if it is resolved?

It's a PayPal issue, have you contacted PayPal about it?
