I'm new to open cart and I am currently exploring the source code. I have observed that some of the controller files use the $this->document->getTitle(); line. However, I can't seem to find where exactly the document is initialised and where I can find the titles of the document. I have looked in the language folder but could not find it. Could someone pin the location of where all these data is located in opencart?

Better always mention the exact Opencart Version and Theme used, if you expect someone to eventually assist.

ditto above. Please read the forum rules for assistance.
You can find them

the title is the title of the document and is dependent on the page itself
it takes the title itself from the language files as you correctly worked out.

Opencart is MVC(L) structure
