I am considering changing the theme on my website.
www.BlingZe.com

I had been very happy with the theme that I am using but lately support from the theme designer seems to be non-existent. For example I am trying to figure out why my sub-categories are not wrapping onto another line but rather running off my page and I have been unable to receive a response so not sure if is a theme problem or what.

If I do decide to go with another theme, I would also update from OC1.4.9.4 to 1.5.1 at the same time.

I am not a programmer so know just enough about setting up this website to get by.

Can someone please tell me the steps that I would take to update my site with the new version of OC and a new theme.

Any direction you could provide would be most appreciated!!!!

Actually there are several threads on this topic.

You need to run the upgrade script and basically install.

Do a db dump using phpmyadmin or such.
Do a back up from the admin panel.
Just in case: copy all site files.

Run the upgrade script.

You will loose all 1.4.x modifications.
You will need a new theme.
You will loose product options.
Besides that you get to use the newer code ;)

Back up, back up and back up :drunk:

Thanks for your reply SapporroGuy..this may sound like a dumb question, but where do I find the update script to update from 1.4.9.4 to 1.5.1.1? ;D

Just in case ;)
