Hi,
suddenly my shop is showing the price on all screens as £xxdecimal_point00 ie instead of a decimal point £xx.xx it shows the text decimal_point.
A quick google foo shows a language issue, I have re installed the English language folder - re saved the localization setting on languages in English but no joy.
Can anyone help me resolve this - thanks.
I am running 2.0.3.1
Regards
andy
Check the define for the decimal point in the top level language files admin/language/english/english.php and catalog/language/english/english.php. There should be something along the lines of:
If it isn't there, insert the above code into the file(s).
Code: Select all
$_['decimal_point'] = '.';

Hi,
Thanks, I checked both files and that code is already in both files...
Admin side the decimal point is shown correctly its just the front end that the "decimal_point" is showing...
Any other ideas how to resolve please?

I had the very same issue, but I'm not quite sure how I resolved it. Maybe it was because I had the wrong language version installed (OC 1.5 language files with OC 2), but I cannot reproduce it.
I can reproduce it, however, by deleting my catalog/language/mylanguage directory (note that it is the only available language in the admin panel, since I removed English).
I'm afraid I cannot help much more, but hopefully this can lead you to the right track (wrong language setting maybe ?)…

I know this is an old thread, but if someone comes across it, the solution is to make sure you have the file [language_name]-[language_name].php in the following folders:
1. If the issue is in the admin side, the folder is: admin/language/[language_name]-[language_name] // ex.: for english, the folder is admin/language/en-gb
2. If the issue is in the store front, the folder is: catalog/language/[language_name]-[language_name] // ex.: for english, the folder is catalog/language/en-gb
I hope this helps.

Please add [SOLVED] to the start of the post title.sadwargamer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 09, 2015 9:02 pmI resolved this by simply re uploading the OC core files.
