Hi everybody,

Is there any extension available (or did you create an extension) that does this?

To comply with various worldwide laws I need to be able to fully customize all invoices for each GeoZone. All invoice elements need to be adjusted separately and individually for each GeoZone. At least the below elements need to be adjusted:

  • Show/Hide each individual invoice element (subtotal, product price, tax, etc.) per GeoZone.
  • Show product prices with or without tax on invoice, for each GeoZone individually.
  • View an example of each GeoZones invoice before saving your settings in OpenCart admin.

Hope somebody can help me out.

Best regards

Really don't know what the benefit is to provide different invoices?!
Important for me - as seller - is my financial authority of the country my business is registered.
There I have to pay all my taxes and have to fullfill the tax laws - especially when it comes to invoices.
And the invoices are controlled by my own finacial authority - if something is not given or correct, they will reject it and I have to pay some penalties.

But the most important thing is: an invoice is an unique document!
Not reversable, not editable, nothing!

Good point.
I still need to be able to change the invoice for myself.
Something is not quite right at the moment.
It shows the product prices with tax, and the rest without tax.
Also the order in which the prices appear do not make much sense.
Am I missing a setting perhaps?

Currently the invoice shows:
  • Product prices with tax
  • Subtotal (total without tax)
  • Shipping costs without tax
  • Tax price
  • Total price with tax
It makes no sense to me, and I have absolutely no idea how to change it.
I need the invoice to display all prices either with or without tax.
Like this:
  • Product prices without tax
  • Shipping costs without tax
  • Subtotal (total of all costs -incuding shipping- without tax)
  • Tax price
  • Total price (total of all with tax)
What do I need to do exactly to change it?
I'm puzzled at the moment.

I don't know from which Country you are or your business is registered.
Once this is clear, contact your financial authority or your tax consultant (if you have one), and ask what are the requirements for a valid invoice.
These terms are binding for you - and the invoice.
While they may differ from Country to Country, it makes no sense to post here mine.
If you have all, you can post them here (or contact me) and we will see further.

In general, Invoices are different for business clients and end-consumer!
For B2C all prices have to be displayed inclusive VAT.
While you may display prices also without VAT, each have to be displayed then also WITH.
That corresponds to the overall display of all prices through the whole shop - all must be displayed incl. VAT!

For B2B the tax and VAT are irrelevant.

I don't think this really answers the question. Should I make a new topic at general support?

This is how prices are officially displayed in the Netherlands.
I think it's pretty plain and simple.

Either like this:
  • Product prices with tax
  • Shipping costs with tax
  • Subtotal (total with tax)
  • Display total low tax products (9%)
  • Display total high tax products (21%)
  • Total (with tax)
OR like this:
  • Product prices without tax
  • Shipping costs without tex
  • Subtotal / total without tax
  • Display total low tax products (9%)
  • Display total high tax products (21%)
  • Total with tax
But currently it shows like this:
  • Product prices with tax (currently displayed with tax)
  • Subtotal (total without tax) (should be displayed below shipping costs)
  • Shipping costs without tax (should be displayed above subtotal)
  • Display total low tax products (9%) (does OpenCart show different tax categories separately?)
  • Display total high tax products (21%) (does OpenCart show different tax categories separately?)
  • Total (with tax)

Pretty simple and plain is following: in the whole European Community all prices have to be displayed WITH VAT (when B2C).
Net prices are not relevant for end consumers.
And following this guideline, invoices have to be the same.
Guess you should learn first what it means to operate a business.

If you can't provide a solution then make it easier for yourself and don't respond.
Some businesses are B2C and B2B and both are the exact invoice layouts I mentioned.
Maybe you should read better next time. I have done my homework correctly.

I asked how to change the current invoice, which does NOT have the right prices.
Are you trying to help or do you just want to be annoying?
