Internal server error while checkout after SSL

Hi,
I recently purchased a ssl certificate for my domain. (https://elregalo.nl)
I checked the box in OC admin settings "use ssl", changed .htaccess, config.php and admin/config.php.

but for some reason OC gives me an "internal server error" when checking out.
customer receives an e-mail confirmation but on the site the products stay in the cart and payment is not activated.

I tried different payment modules and checkout options but in all cases I get the same error.

anyone ideas how to solve this?
