Client is using opencart version 3.0.2.0. I tried to install an extension named export/import tool and it shows file cannot be uploaded.
Can someone suggest what might be the issue?

PS: New to Opencart

Have followed the install instructions? E.g.

Installation for OpenCart 2.x and 3.x
In the OpenCart admin backend, do the following steps:
  • Install via Extensions > Marketplace or via Extensions > Installer > Upload
  • Go to Extensions > Modifications, you should see an entry for this Export/Import tool
  • Click on the Refresh button (top right of the page)
  • Go to System > Users > User Group > Edit Administrator
Set access and modify permissions for 'extension/export_import' (for OC 3.x or later) or 'tool/export_import' (for OC 2.x or earlier)

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig

Yes, I was following this instruction only. But in the first step only its showing 'file could not be uploaded'. Is there any other way we can install an extension? like FTP?

Install a program such as Filezilla and read the documentation. :)

Also, just a reminder: If someone experiences a problem with an OC extension or its installer, they should really provide a more precise error description. Simply stating that a file could not be uploaded is too vague for anybody to be able to help here.

The error I am gettingwhile uploading the extension zip file is 'File could not be uploaded'. As a newbie I am not understanding what brief description of that error should I provide.
Opencart version is 3.0.2.0
Extension files I tried to install are opencart-3-x-export-import-multilingual-3-22.ocmod.zip
and opencart-3-x-export-import-multilingual-4-11-cloud.ocmod.zip

First of all, you can only install either V3.22 or V4.11 of the Export/Import tool, depending on the PHP version used.
Also, what's in your OpenCart error.log? And what's in your server's error log (ask webhost for the latter).

It looks like the issue with your OC extension installer in general, and not this particular Export/Import tool.

Opencart checks if there are any other file uploading errors, UPLOAD_ERR_OK: Value: 0; There is no error, the file uploaded with success. If there is any error it will show errors like: “File could not be uploaded!”

So, I believe PHP will give more details about the upload error when you activate the display errors in the settings of the Opencart. With more details on the error, you can fix it similarly.
