Hi've received this error notice when I click on a page on my website:

Any help with what this means would be great!

Well, you should have changed your both config.php settings to mysqli
for some time already, and your hoster now possibly just disabled mysql from
further function. And you will love it, OC is much faster than ever before, because of this. But that's just a Guess...

Thanks for that Ernie, really appreciate it. I've changed that in both config files (replace mysql with mysqli). I'll wait and see if there are any more problems to determine if that was the cause of the problem.

Did you tell the whole story, is thsi a error just out off the bleu or after you did a upgrade.

No this just happened out of the blue. I have not upgraded.

The answer is there at the end.
MySQL has gone away.
Mening your server had a SQL problem.
Either your SQL server has problems or your site is hitting the boundery of limits set by your hoster.
In Both cases contact your hoster to solve this.
