Hi, I would like a few lines of code modification (so i presume) in open cart so i can use it for rental services.
1.In admin, i have set the product (car, room, boat, etc) available_date to the date its available (its a future date) , modified open cart queries to show those products with date_available greater than now. Added an option to the product, where the client is able to specify the date he needs the product and for how long.
I have kind of succeeded to do the above.
But am stuck (almost two weeks), i need to:
2. Modify the add to cart function, so that products whose date_available is greater than now can also be carted.
3. Search the carted product's options to retrieve the date the client specified, in which case if its less than the date the product is available, an error is flagged saying product may not be available on such a date.
Beyond that, the program flows as usual, and once the client's order is approved, the product's available_date is modified by the cart admin, or you can add some auto logic to set it without admin intervention.
All help is highly appreciated.
