Insert div on home page

Hi guys,

I want to add banner right under my image slider. So far i tryed to add div to home.tpl in my theme folder, but somehow i cant get it to show up.

please give me a push in the right direction(site link http://www.witgoedextra.nl/store)

You should put it in your home.tpl just before the first <div class="top">

Can't think why it wouldn't work.
