Hello and glad to find you.
Subject Multistore setup

so far i have tried after reading the official guide the steps and a lot of post here but...i am still not getting it right
My main domain is hug.gr and located on Home-->httpdocs

1.From my cp panel i create a sub domain
sports.hug.gr
and i point the Home--->httpdocs

the sub domain (sports.hug.gr)is created...on this sub domain i check the files inside and i see all the files i have on my main domain Hug.gr

thenk i am going to my main domain panel on SETTINGS
and i am creating a new store

ssl --->the same
and servel tab ssl tab ON
(i run ssl on main domain)

then i am going to check the new store at https://sports.hug.gr but i have so far to re actions

the first one is the subdomain redirects me to main domain

and the second reaction is 404 page not found....

that is my htaccess file

Code: Select all

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} hug\.gr [NC]
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://hug.gr/$1 [R,L]

# 1.To use URL Alias you need to be running apache with mod_rewrite enabled.

### Additional Settings that may need to be enabled for some servers
### Uncomment the commands by removing the # sign in front of it.
### If you get an "Internal Server Error 500" after enabling any of the following settings, restore the # as this means your host doesn't allow that.

# 1. If your cart only allows you to add one item at a time, it is possible register_globals is on. This may work to disable it:
# php_flag register_globals off

# 2. If your cart has magic quotes enabled, This may work to disable it:
# php_flag magic_quotes_gpc Off

# 3. Set max upload file size. Most hosts will limit this and not allow it to be overridden but you can try
# php_value upload_max_filesize 999M

# 4. set max post size. uncomment this line if you have a lot of product options or are getting errors where forms are not saving all fields
# php_value post_max_size 999M

# 5. set max time script can take. uncomment this line if you have a lot of product options or are getting errors where forms are not saving all fields
# php_value max_execution_time 200

# 6. set max time for input to be recieved. Uncomment this line if you have a lot of product options or are getting errors where forms are not saving all fields
# php_value max_input_time 200

# 7. disable open_basedir limitations
# php_admin_value open_basedir none

#First condition, If is HTTPS without wwww, redirects to www.

#Second condition, If is not HTTPS and without www, redirects to HTTPS with WWW.

#Third, If is not HTTPS and have www, redirects only to HTTPS

Thank you very much for you time hope to help me

1. You've pointed the `document root` of the sub-domain to the main store properly as I can access it https://sports.hug.gr/
2. Your SSL direction is wrong in the htaccess file that's why it is redirecting to main store. Fix the following line:
Replace this:

Code: Select all

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://hug.gr/$1 [R,L]
with

Code: Select all

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
3. Make sure you have added `Store URL` correctly in the sub-store setting. For example, you must add '/' at the end. Example: https://sub.yourdomain.com/

Added to the FAQ. Thank you.

The most generated errors being found on Opencart forum originates from contributed programming. The increased post counters are caused by redundancies of the same solutions that were already provided prior.
