Different prices in Option with Special Price

Hello,

Opencart 3.0.3.2 with Journal 3.0.44.

Opencart continues to amaze me with some behaviors in basic functions of an eshop and I would like you to tell me if you have encountered it too or I am the weird one. : roll:

So I have made an eshop with carpets with options the dimensions of the carpets where when you change the dimension the price also changes. Well so far!

The problem starts when I want to put a special price on a carpet where it will be sold at half price. So I go to the special price and change the price (for example for a dimension of 2.0x2.20 the price is 200 euros and I set the special price at 100 euros). However, the prices of the options of the other dimensions are not automatically adjusted to half, but in fact they are added to the special price and the numbers that come out are completely wrong. In the special price it does not give me fields to adjust the options of the dimensions accordingly.

I have really broken my head to find a formula that will set the special price and automatically influence the prices of the options. It seems absurd to me that opencart doesn't give me that. It basically removes the concept of option when you use special price: cry:

So you're using Product Options to select the dimensions of a piece of carpet?

special price has nothing to do with options.

Yes and I add/subtract the price of the carpet.

That doesn't make sense. As long as I add/subtract prices to options, the price of the options should also be affected by the special price.

Makes perfect sense, when a special, the original product price is replaced by the special price.
Option prices are either added to or subtracted from that price.
In other words, a product special does not make the options special and therefore does not affect their pricing, they are price additions or subtractions, not price replacements.

By default you cannot set a special price for product options. I have two commercial extensions that can do that:
Apply the same product special price to its options (percentage):

Or set an specific special price for each product option:

Yes and I add/subtract the price of the carpet.

You should not use Product Options for this purpose, you should find an extension that deals with selling products by the square foot or square metre instead.
