I am having an issue that appears to be really random. I am trying to set up a store and installed version 3.0.3.6. I am using the default template with no extensions yet. I have altered only categories and 2 of the sample products.
I have an active ssl certificate and the only other thing I changed was renaming the htaccess file for seo urls.
Two days ago I did a completely new install and input the categories and products and all was good. Overnight the website came up with the "error establishing a database connection" although I could still get into the admin panel.
As none of the previous forum solutions worked I uninstalled Opencart and reinstalled to start from scratch again. I repeated the actions of category and products only and everything was working fine but this morning I have the same problem "error establishing a database connection".
What is happening overnight that can be causing this problem.
