Opencart version and theme used? Can you attach the actual image you are having problems with?

Try embedding a sRGB color profile when you export from photoshop.

There are so many variables in play.
First screen colours are dependant on various user-end things, so to be honest its somewhat ‘irrelevant’ from that perspective.
Second they are also dependant on browsers

That aside as this might simply be your personal annoyance. and presuming there is no transparency at play.
There is some compression at play.

However saving as a png and compressing it using an online compressor such as tinypng.com would be advisable and improve it significantly enough for you to be happy.

Pretty sure its the color profile the OP has attached on the image. Japan Color 2002 Newspaper. .. could be wrong though.

You are probably correct, either way, compressing it with tinypng will solve the issue of its size and its colour ..
It was just the timing of the posts :)

hope you are having a great weekend

You are correct as well and also good advise for the OP. tinypng.com would also resolve the issue as it converts the color profile back to rgb. I think the root of the problem is the OP has the image in CMYK with a printing profile.

I still use the mopst simple to handle legendary MS Image Composer,
to create nice .PNG images:
Image Composer 1.5 for Windows
https://www.cottontech.com/imgcomp/
https://www.wiserbit.com/web-developmen ... r-1-5.html
and then get them compressed online, each-one, or in bulk:
https://www.giftofspeed.com/png-compressor/
to so have top-compressed and good looking x.png
Images, adding to well-done Site Tester Results ... :D ;)
Image Composer seems to still be able to use later Windows Versions.
Ernie

PS: It's a complete CD Mirror Download, including lots of sample Pics,
containing 212MegaByte of Data, so, relax, until it's done.

The giftofspeed compressor compresses better than tinypng, it does effect the quality a little more and looses some depth of colour, depends on the complexity of the image.
What is useful about tinypng, despite its name, will compress jpeg also and produces a web friendly image. As Sw!tch points out if you put in CMYK it will still return a converted RGB. There is a limit to the “bulk” option unless you have it on your computer - and - it is Mac friendly.

The other advantage is that you can compress it again and then again .. and again if you like .. each time checking the image quality whilst you compress it a little more. If you do it that way you can actually get a better quality image at a lower size ..

As discussed above, there are numerous factors that effect what you can see on these examples .. what is important to you and how much effort you want to put in .. the bottom line - from 1.5mb to under 200kb and you will not see the difference in the image and you will on web loading speed - so compress your images - not for some SEO speed recommendation, but for the poor customer who has to wait and gets them stored on their computers !
