I just unzipped opencart 4 to my test server. I tried to install but page says PHP 8+ required. I installed PHP 8 and reboot the server. PHP -v says 8.1.6. but it still doesn't work. What to do?

This isn't likely a code bug. Sometimes cpanel tells you that its one version but there's some other directive telling it to use some other version. Check with your webhost on this.

You are running a server with no control panel? What do you see when you run this command? php --version
in terminal or putty?
