I do image reprints on canvas and other medias. I would like my store to require customers to submit an image (pdf/jpg/png/gif etc) to complete their purchase. Is there an extension I can use to get customers to submit an image attached to their purchase so they dont have to email it to me directly because sometimes they forget and it lags the process. If there are any other ways to get this same job done with a different method, please post your opinion.

You dont need an extension for that. There allready is an 'Upload File' option by default in opencart 1.5x. You would have to add this option per product and will display in the product page. You can also make it mandatory, so that the customer uploads the image before adding the product to cart.

I've been messing around with the "Upload File" option a lot lately, but I'm still having one problem. The file gets uploaded fine, and I can see all of the uploaded files in the downloads folder no problem. However, I have no way of associating which files belongs to which order, other than matching the dates. When I view the order in the admin back end, it lists all of the other options, but doesn't show the image the customer uploaded so I'll be left guessing. Any thoughts?

Yeah there are built-in file upload option with every product page. But i want to attach a file upload option in the order or checkout page, so that customer can upload a single file with the order than uploading file to each product individually.

Seems as if there are a few of us looking for the same thing. I would like the upload to come after the purchase has been made, that way no unnecessary uploads. So the big question! has anyone found a fix for our problem?

I would also like to use a feature like this... I have customers uploading images but it would also be nice it the customer could see a preview of the image they uploaded.

i too would like the customer to view the image once they have uploaded it. Has anyone found anything that can do this? I also want to offer printing services and i feel that the customer being able to see what they have uploaded is very important.

Hello guys, I am looking for something similar. I sell smartphone cases and the customers are able to send me their images and I can print them directly on the phone case... I have Upload file option in my product and everything is perfect, I can see the file attached to the order. But the main problem is that I really wish to make customers able to resize and adjust the image they've upload directly on the product image (back cover of a phone case). I will be very happy if anyone give a solution. Thank you.

How about using one of these extensions and asking the creators to do any custom changes you need?

As you can see, on a very simple and elegant way here you can just upload, resize and add to the cart your case with custom image.

No probs. The fact something exists means someone knows how to do it and can probably port an extension to a different OC version. My first choice would to ask a developer to change or enhance an existing extension to be exactly what you need.

If you posted in the commercial support section I'm sure someone would snap the job up.
