I have just had a new site built and need an easy way to import / upload my products from my old Shopify store using the CSV export.
Presume this can be done via an extension but dammed if I know where to start.

do a search for csv import / export. Or cart2cart may be your alternative solution
what is your opencart? when I imported goods to my site, I used this site https://psqqq.com/solutions/cms/shopify/, I still have it in my bookmarks, just in case. Read, maybe this article will help you.
