Hi
Can anyone tell me if it possible to add code between <head> and </head> of individual product pages in opencart?
And if so, how?
I cannot find anything relating to this on google or here, so am wondering if it is not possible?
Appreciate any help!
Thanks

The header file is common to all pages in opencart, not just product pages. Most tracking codes can be added to the header with no problem. The easiest way to do this is use the "google analytics" box in the settings of the store as it really can be used to insert any code you need before the </head> tag, not just google. Paste in the full code they give you and save.
Running Opencart v3.0.3.2 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.
Thanks for your reply and suggestion labeshops!
I did see that adds the code between the <head></head> tags.
My concern with trying this is that FB specifically tells you to put it on the page you want tracked.
I do not know enough to know if the FB code is on every page, it will count every visit to every page in its reports, not just to the product page wanted.
I guess one way to find out is to try it!
Thanks again

No joy with that method :-(
Anyone achieved this and willing to share how?
Or maybe it is just not possible in opencart?

Okay, I'm not familiar with facebook tracking code and couldn't find anything about it on facebook. What does it do? I figured it was for a facebook button?

Hi labeshops
Thanks for your reply :-)
It is for Facebook adverts. Something i thought i'd try for a new event.
When you create an ad. you have to choose what you want to track as part of creating the ad.
FB gives a list, such as 'likes', 'clicks to website', 'conversions' etc and once you select, FB then creates a code to track that.
You then have to put the provided code in the <head> area of the page you want to track clicks to, purchases from etc.
i.e. the specific product in my case.
I can find nothing about it on the net or forums, so am wondering if no one using opencart is bothering with FB ads?
