Pagination error

Hi there OpenCart community.

I have OpenCart 2.3.0.2 installed on www.online360.co.za.

Everything seems to be ok except to for the fact that almost 1200 duplicate pages that are caused by the excess pages that are being created such as :

http://www.online360.co.za/cameras-on-sale?page=-115
http://www.online360.co.za/cameras-on-sale?page=-190
http://www.online360.co.za/cameras-on-sale?page=-183
http://www.online360.co.za/cameras-on-sale?page=-380

And so on... These pages do not actually exist as there are not that many products.

Could anyone explain to me what is wrong or how I can fix this before Google penalises us?

Thank you for the link. I am busy going through the infomation provided there and not finding the info to where and why OpenCart is creating these multiple, extra pages that do not contain any content or products. There are well over 1200 already and not sure why they were created or even how to remove or stop them from happening again?

Are you using any sitemap generator?

Nope there is no sitemap generator. It was a fresh installation OpenCart with no extra components/modules installed. I ran a website audit and pick up all these extra pages that dont have any products on.

Definately must be an Open Cart issue as it was the only thing we installed and then started adding products. Quote disappointed at the support on this forum. Takes days to get any sort of response and the replies are vague!

I wish someone could help here. We were considering using Open Cart for a number of sites but seems like Joomla or Wordpress might be an easier option? Unless someone knows what the issue is here?

Look at the page values, all are negative values. Opencart does not generate negative page number although negative number does not trigger error and shows first page instead. If opencart does not generate these pages, Here is the google sitemap generated by opencart http://www.online360.co.za/index.php?ro ... le_sitemap so how google crawler grabbed those?

Perhaps any script or generators are creating these page. It is my assumption though.

Well, if someone else would ever have experienced something like this, possibly, you would have been getting a reply. But I cannot understand, why one should have a reason to be disappointed, after getting a nice piece of Software for free and without obligation, but then finds out, that it came without guaranteed free Support.

So, better get down to Earth again, and accept, that it's likely not an OC Software Problem, you're talking about. Because if it would, then, a lot of users would already have experienced it, and it would be known. But there is always commercial Support available, offered even by OC themselfs, if someone plans, to get unusual things fixed for good!
