I am having an issue with the Royal Mail shipping extension.

On checkout it shows the following error message - "Warning: No Shipping options are available. Please contact us for assistance!"

I have tried other shipping methods such as Flat Rate, CityLink etc and they all work fine.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this and how to fix it?

Have you got the weights and Geo Zones set up correctly?

Hi - Thanks for the reply. I thought I had but I've just changed the store weight to Kilo and the Royal Mail ext now woks fine :-)

Great stuff. I always set the store weight to KG and Royal Mail to KG on every site right from the word go. I've had issues before where the store was KG and Royal Mail GM. Causes all sorts of problems.

Believe it or not I now have a similar problem with posting to Guernsey or Jersey. ???

The royal mail extension is set to Kg as is the shop. I have created a GEO Zone for the Channel Isles but nothing I do is correcting the issue. :(

I have noticed that there are no zone areas for Guernsey and Jersey, could that be the problem?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Correct. I have spent a lot of time working on that during the past few weeks with my Github support partner as this issue seem to have been rectified since. Take a look at my namespace on Github: https://www.github.com/straightlight and see all TWIG files involving the countries and zones. Most PHP controller files also contains more focused validations based on the geographic settings as compared to the core files.

You will probably have to add Guernsey and Jersey as zones (counties) of the United Kingdom. Then add them to the shipping zone you are using that has the UK in, but not to the VAT zone.

As a workaround I've set up a Channel Islands Zone and used the weight based shipping extension just for that and the Royal Mail for everything else until I can work out what's wrong

You'll need to provide more information if anyone is to help you. Such as OpenCart version, how you have the Royal Mail shipping set up and how your Geo Zones are set up.
