Sitemap script

Hi everyone! I m wondering what sitemap script / service you use for your sites.
I have a client with 200k+ products for now he's paying pro-sitemaps.com that's pretty expensive.
What do you use? Any free / paid script for cron job running?

You mean sitemap, which you submit to Google? sitemap.xml or something?

Yeah. How you generate your sitemaps.

There's a default Sitemap extension, but it sucks. I would like recommend you my Smart Sitemap extension, which gives you full control over the sitemap and was tested at least with 100K products. Should handle 200K without any issues as well.

Yep, the problem with the default one is that it generates the XML every time with no caching and sometimes Google will refuse to wait for this.

It also creates a hard-coded XML instead of using DOMDocument, which is sooooooooo lame. Let alone lack of any customization. Yuck!

Interesting, I've just used a crontab to export a static XML file daily from the built in code
