My image manager is blank. Please, can anyone help?
I've been able to successfully upload an image - but can't get at it. I've combed the forum, and done the following:
1. Changed permissions of image, image/data and image/cache from 755 to 777 -and back.
2. Cleared image cache of all images
3. Removed any new images
4. Looked for this javascript error: (it's been fixed, of course.)
5. Tried on Chrome, IE8 and Firefox. Cleared caches
6. Tried on different computer
7. Re-uploaded admin files
8. Tested OC's own demo - works fine
9. Run phpinfo file. No sign of Solaris, but don't know what else to look for.
I'm using an Apache server at Vidahost. I don't want to post the phpinfo up here yet, so if anyone could tell me what to look for, I will look.
Any help appreciated.

PS I just found this in my logs/error.txt
Code: Select all
2010-06-27 14:15:17 - PHP Warning: imagejpeg(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /home/myshop/public_html/shop/system/library/image.php on line 43
2010-06-27 14:15:17 - PHP Warning: imagedestroy(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /home/myshop/public_html/shop/system/library/image.php on line 50
..when I 'inspect element' in Firebug, it seems that the script that populates the pane runs OK, but it doesn't display anything: and I see the same PHP warnings at the top of the output:
..otherwise it looks the same as the demo, except I am running under SSL.
If I look at the HTML, my pane shows
but the demo pane shows
...just trying to scrape some info together which I hope will help
Code: Select all
<b>Warning</b>: imagejpeg(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in <b>/home/myshop/public_html/shop/system/library/image.php</b> on line <b>43</b><b>Warning</b>: imagedestroy(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in <b>/home/myshop/public_html/shop/system/library/image.php</b> on line <b>50</b>
If I look at the HTML, my pane shows
Code: Select all
<div id="column_right"></div>
Code: Select all
<div id="column_right"><div><a file="apple_cinema_30.jpg"><img title="apple_cinema_30.jpg" src="http://demo.opencart.com/image/cache/data/apple_cinema_30-100x100.jpg"><br>apple_cinema_30<br>.jpg<br>64.53KB</a>....||etc
....and I just 'broke' the image manager again on the new installation, and hence found the source of the problem.
A corrupt image. Just one corrupt image, and it won't play ball! That's one solution I didn't try
Hope this helps someone else!

Am having a similar problem with IM.
How could you tell the image was corrupt?
This is my issue and it may be the same thing...

Hi drubique.... Well I downloaded the image file and tried to open it with Irfanview - it said 'could not read file header!' The extension was .png but 'something' had happened to it in transit. Deleting that image restored all the others to my blank pane.drubique wrote:Am having a similar problem with IM.

Your issue looks different: your images are still loading, but something appears wrong with Camel.png. It's just a guess, but does it work if the image name is lower case?
Also, are you seeing any errors in yourshop/system/logs/error.txt ? Not saying I'll be able to interpret, but it may help you or someone else to locate the problem.

EDIT - I see you have it sorted - great news
I had this problem too, for future reference if you have linux host and ssh access you can use the 'file' command to check the image files like this;
Code: Select all
data # file *
cart.png: PNG image data, 16 x 16, 8-bit gray+alpha, non-interlaced
..
f2009.jpg: HTML document text <----------- Hmm, guess which one is courrupt
..
f2010.jpg: JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.01
index.html: empty
logo.png: PNG image data, 210 x 43, 8-bit/color RGBA, non-interlaced
Hi there, i had the same problem and fixed it by increasing Memory in admin folder's php.ini memory_limit = 64M to 256M.
Hopefully someone else find this helpful
