Hello guys,

I was testing making a new Opencart website.
Opencart Version: 4.0.1.1
PHP Version: 8.0
Theme/Template: Original
No additional Extensions installed a part of the ones that come from scratch
No translations installed

This kind of information tab, when add something to the cart, or error information about, not enough quantity etc, don't disappear.

Opencart Version: 4.0.1.1 is still a prototype Version, and not ready to be used as final Code.

Well, then better download OC v.4.0.2.0, to at least have the latest release, to play around with:

I'm having this same issue, brand new install, no changes. Funny that when you go to the Opencart website and click download, they send you to Version 4.0.1.1, nowhere that I saw did they mention this was a 'prototype' version and is not ready to be used?

Anyway, what's weird is that it does work on their demo site. So what's the difference between version 4.0.1.1 that you can download and the version 4.0.1.1 they are running for the demo?

Same problem as above.
Version 4.0.1.1
All default except for some basic colour changes.

Problem: When product added to cart, "Success" pop up is frozen until page is reloaded or changed.

Guru Hosting installed this version as being the latest - no warning about it being "not ready".
As I have started developing a site for a colleague - should I hang fire, or go back to v 3 and start again?!

Thanks for any help

Thanks, Straightlight!

Yep, I had pretty much decided to go back to 3.0.3.8. Seems best for now!

Don't know whose responsibility it would be, but surely there will continue to be lots of users out there running into problems, simply because the OpenCart website is automatically pushing a download version that's not ready yet, without any warnings to that effect?
Sorry! Grumble over!

Since this issue originates from an industrial / foundational change, it is only temporary until the final integration gets completed for PHP 8.2. As for the heads up and the warnings, it is up to the people to catch up the warnings, not for the warnings to catch up the people.
