My home web site www.mydomain.com has an external link to store.mydomain.com via a subdomain DNS entry for www.mydomain.com.
store.mydomain.com is an opencart 3.0.3.2 installation on a different server.
I have also created another subdomain called membership@mydomain.com which I wish to point at an additional store within store.mydomain.com.
Unfortunately its not working, I think because membership@mydomain.com is not a subdomain of store.mydomain.com
Is there any way around this?
Yes, there are lots of solutions for this from the forum that has been posted in the past. I would also suggest posting more information in regard to: it's not working in order for forum supporters to provide solutions.lankylad wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 12:09 amMy home web site www.mydomain.com has an external link to store.mydomain.com via a subdomain DNS entry for www.mydomain.com.

This doesn't make sense. You can't have a subdomain of a subdomain. Also, membership@mydomain.com describes an email address, not a subdomain.Unfortunately its not working, I think because membership@mydomain.com is not a subdomain of store.mydomain.com
Please clarify what you are actually trying to accomplish.
