Hi iSense, does your module work for Journal Theme?

Question:

We sell shoes in various sizes. If a certain size is out of stock (i.e one of the product options is at 0) will it notify when we replenish that size (increase the option) or does this just work via stock quantity overall?

We have not tested the module on older OpenCart versions <1.5.4, since OpenCart deprecated them, but we don't see any reason why it would not work.

Just installed it and did some testing, seems to work great so far. Nice job.

It would be nice if it was possible to show the notify button not only on the product page, but also in category, search and special. Also, it would be great if the notify form could get pre-filled when a user is logged in.

@Shph: Yes, when the status is >0 the module automatically notifies your customer and the icon reverts to normal.

@dklein: Thank you for your suggestion we appreciate it.

Actually we have a shy of 100 customers using the module and this is the first time we are getting this feedback. We might include the change of button to signify the out of stock in one of the next versions of the module.

There is one very important point that it is not clear in the description or the screenshots.
The customer must click "add to cart" for the "notify me" popup to appear
If the customer does not click "add to cart", nothing happens - no prompt for notification.

Who clicks "add to cart? when a product is out of stock???

Are you referring to the standard OpenCart product options. With the default OC options, when an option is out of stock it is not getting displayed at all.

Will your extension work for products with options too? Such as sizes. For example, one size is out of stock but others aren't.

There is no notify box. We did everything right and enabled the module.

By purchasing any of our OpenCart Premium Products you virtually own the product forever.

The 1-year license is a license for support, not for the product itself. This means that after 1 year, you will still have your product licensed, but you will not have access to support and future version updates. In other words, you own the product forever, not for 1 year. It is the same way the Microsoft licensing works.

OpenCart also will be switching to one year licenses. As you can also see for 3 months we have released 4 new versions of the module. We are also keen on providing the best quality OpenCart support and not someone that will not answer emails, calls or decide that tomorrow they want to do something else and will abandon their work, thus the price of the module.

@Foxware I fell for it too. They should have at least mentioned it on their website or on this product page that this extension requires renewal of license to continue. There's another similar extension doesn't require license to use and it works perfectly on customized themes.
