Hi, We have used this great extension on one of our site which has around 5,500 product and we now get 504 gateway time-out errors when ever we import or export. under 4000 products this worked fine. Any ideas how we can get this working again, we need this fixing ASAP.

You offer your extension for OC 1.5.5.1 and 1.5.6
So, why it has no filters? It's not correct and it's not full export import tool. Are you going to add it? And when?

When i try to import it get this message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 91 bytes) in /public_html/webshop/system/PHPExcel/Classes/PHPExcel/Worksheet.php on line 961
Does anyone know's what is this?

A terrific extension and a must have for any OpenCart administrator. Well done JNeuhoff!!
If I could suggest anything it would be the ability to select which columns are included on the data.

So I have about 8,000 products - and what I am running into repeatedly is that I am hitting my CPU limit, and it breaks the import. Help?

Great work, but It would be nice if the extension would also export/import the newly added filters for categories ad products in opencart 1.5.5.1 http://docs.opencart.com/display/opencart/Filters
Just a suggestion, but great work and easy to use and install!

I have a custom extension installed which adds four fields into the database tables, option values and product option values. I need to have the tool/export model file modified to accommodate. Please contact me for further details.

Hi,
My employer has been using the extension for some time now...and we are revamping our site. They have not used the extension in some time (since original upload awhile ago I assume)... I went to EXPORT and its giving all kinds of cryptic errors... we plan on using the extension on our new site because it did what it needed to do originally, but really need access to the original imported info. (original product excel file is not available)... is there some folder in Opencart we could find the original uploaded excel info? That would help tremendously!

Works very well on 1.5.5.1. Thanks.
Basically you have to do an export first. The result is an xlsx file. I convert it to xls (my office is 2003).
Add products and their details, including description, options and attributes sometimes and upload the xls file.
Works great.
But you have to be sure not to delete any of the columns. Then you get errors uploading. (I use the original xlsx file as a backup to revert and redo if necessary.
As for doing the updating on my local host, the default file upload size is 2 mb in php.ini, that has to be increased (changing the number in 3 lines, you can search for that on php forums.)
Altogether, this mod I find the most useful.

Good extension but has ONE MAJOR FLAW. You can't import and export parts of the database. For example. Let's say you want to work on a handful of items and them re-import them. You download the spreadsheet, and remove the stuff your not working and edit the small list that needs changes. If your spreadsheet doesn't have item # 123 on it, them item #123 in your database gets ERASED. This should not be the case. I found this out the hard way.

Hello , everybody!
I want to make an online store with thousands of products (books) and have the following problem:
It installed fine, but when I try to upload to the file. Xls tells me that it is not in the right format ....
What do you know?
On the other hand (the website is in the default "option", as it was installed) and I've made an export , this time, with the products installed default, during the installation...
It generated a list format. Xls that has a certain configuration of columns. It is the mystery? Extension that can only import if the file has a specific format?
I have to rewritte the columns of the .xls file to realize the import?
Any advice would help me!

@wiggonator: I also had this problem. This extension is okay for free. I purchased ExcelPort, which did the job for me. I also highly recommend it to anybody who has memory problems and uses more than 1 language. No problems at all
