I get this error in the excel file...

Have come acorss what might be a bug in this extension.... It's working overall.... When I add products offline in excel, and import the new file, the products do appear in admin -> catalog -> products....

But they don't show in my shop until I go into each individual product in admin and tick the 'default store' checkbox for it to appear.... Surely there must be a way that all new products will appear automatically in the shop.... I don't see a column in excel for this...

anyone any ideas??

I'm adding around 4,000 products to my store and it would take all week to tick the box for every individual product....

hello. i have a problem using this extenions.
after i import some products from excel using this extenion, i can NOT see the products into admin -> catalog -> products. i can see only products that i inserted manually.. is any solution for this ?

I having trouble finding tools/export in User Groups. I've manually added the 4 code lines as per instructions. The options to check "tools/export" is not there for either access or modify. Why is this?

@T3Kaos: @Danuel: ...may not be your situation, but the answer on this for me (no menu option displayed for Import/Export) was obvious after i realized i changed my admin folder name....the vqmod xml file is hardcoded to 'admin', must modify change the xml to your new admin folder name if you have customized that. 3 entries...just takes a moment to fix - should see your menu then.

I am using
OpenCart v1.5.2.1 and using the opencart-1-5-2-x-export-import-6.zip

@mayanktechpro: You can try our newest module version 1.3 its free download and based on thi smodule, but it has multi language support and other new features.

ONLY tested on 1.5.3.1

I hope JNeuhoff can use my module as DEFAULT module and keep update our module ... it has MULTI LANGUAGE and you can upload excel sheet to server first then process from admin select excel sheet and process it. Also you can select wich rows you want to import instead of process whole document.

Please share this module and improve it. Together we can keep the best import export module alive.

Found a big BUG for OC Version 1.5.2.1!
1. The Function Product Feeds - Google Base after a new installation works perfect.
Than i install the Export/Import Tool - maybe its easy

2. I export the backup_categories_products.xls file - works fine!
3. I delete by Hand all Categories and Products in OC Admin Menu
4. I Inport the backup_categories_products.xls with the Export/Import Tool - works also fine!
BUT after this the Funktion Product Feeds - Google Base doesent work! Only the Header Info is shown.no Product a visible.

Hi... I am using this extension from over 2 years, now my store contains more than 5000 products and more than 1000 categories, i am using v1.5.1.3. My website do not export the backup_categories_products file properly. If my product list is smaller, then the file exports perfectly but with large no. of products it gives error in the file exported that the format is not correct. and while uploading it uploads some products like 1000 out of 5000, sometimes 200 out of 5000, and after 3 to 4 times it uploads perfectly.
Can u tell me what to do..?? and how to upload such a large no. of products and categories.

If there is any issue regarding server limits, tell me what to increase at the server end.

Please help me regarding this, it is urgent

Awesome, I'm using Version 1.5.2.1 & vqmod. this installed perfectly. I just updated over 100 products in about 2 minutes. It would have taken me HOURS before! Thank you so much for giving this to the Opencart community for free!

But there is one problem in export, export of "Related Products" and "Reviews" are not supported. I've use opencart 1.5.1.3.

Hy, thanks for the nice module. I would like to use it to import customer file but i saw it handles only product and manufacturer etc.
Is it possibile to add customer files also?

@danuel: I noticed that if you select System -> Backup/Restore and then in the address bar replace where it says <your store address>/index.php?route=tool/backup&token=<token> with <your store address>/index.php?route=tool/export&token=<token>. By changing the backup to export it will bring up the XLS Export/Import page where you can import and export excel spreadsheets from. The biggest pain in the ass is WHY DOESN'T THIS SHOW IN THE MENU?
