Got version :

Followed the instructions to the letter and i cant seem to set the rights.

I dont see requirements at step 3 :

Before using this newly installed Export/Import feature for the first time, you must set the
access rights for top administrator as follows:

In the admin interface, choose

System > Users > User Group

From there, select 'Top Administrator', then click on the 'Edit' link to the right.
This will open up an edit window with multichoice dropdown lists for 'Access' and 'Modify' rights.
In both of them, you'll see a new entry for 'tool/export' which you can select by clicking
on their check boxes.

tool/export isnt there, still using english
Anyone a idea what is wrong ?

it allows me to upload about 150 products at a time. opencart when you upload the products it deletes all the previous products and replace with the new ones. so i can't upload 150 + 150 + 150 to get to 2000.

it will only get 150 products always.

is there a way when i upload the products to not get deleted?

I followed the guide to the letter. But for some reason i can export perfectly and when i add some products (or categories) and import the file again they do not show up in my OC.

When i export the file again, the new items will be there but still not in OC backend or frontend.

strangeness... :)

You've forgoten the filename at the end of the path... in the readme.txt

In file admin/language/english/common find:
$_['text_backup'] = 'Backup / Restore';
Add the folling after the found line:
$_['text_export'] = 'Export / Import';

This would be fantastic if it didn't need to be tweaked constantly, and if it actually showed errors. It's kind of like buying a candy bar you can't eat, oh sure, it looks all nuggety and delicious, but it just isn't edible.

In case anyone else is having problems with "Error: Could not load language tool/export!"

It's probably because you default language isn't english, in this case
copy export.php
from admin/language/english/tool/
to admin/language/youlanguage/tool

Hey,

I rechecked all inatllation steps, everything seems to be in order, but when I try to acces modulu from administration panel I get this error "Error: Could not load language tool/export!"

Any suggestions ?

The missing attributes import has now been fixed.

Hi,

I have installed the solution but when I try to import an xls list, i keep received this error message : "Uploaded file is not a valid spreadsheet file or its values are not in the expected formats!"

I have double check and my file is a XLS...

Can anybody help me please?

Hello JN,

I have the following error when trying to import my .xls file, I'm using 1.5.0.5 with latest version of Import/Export. The file still seems to import correctly but it throws this error up initially, then when I click back to the dashboard i get the success message. Any help would be appreciated.

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/brockha1/public_html/setup/system/PHPExcel/Classes/PHPExcel/Reader/Excel2007.php on line 177

I found out more info - calling non static method as static in three separate places.
I using PHP 5.3.
Any fix or workaround for this?

My export is empty - Already tested with different versions.
My database do have data.
No error message.

Followed the instruction letter by letter and got the error "Error: Could not load language tool/export!" as soon as I tried to use it.
I'm doing this on Xampp to make sure it works first... as you can see it didn't work at all. I'm using 1.5.4 of Open cart. Can anyone help?
