Hello,

I tried installing the import/export excel extension on oc 1.4.7 i uploaded the files and after doing all the necesary changes i tried to export but i got the following error :

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'PEAR.php' (include_path='.;./includes;./pear') in D:\inetpub\vhosts\gingerhosting.in\httpdocs\admin\Spreadsheet\Excel\Writer.php on line 35

Can you let me know what the issue could be and how to solve the same....

To cruciosiege: You get the token error because you were trying to use the 1.4.7 Export/Import tool on a non-matching OpenCart 1.4.8 version. Please always use the correctly supported version of the Export/Import tool!

Hi, I think this may need to be updated for 1.4.8 when I try to install this it gives me a token error of some kinda and I can't log in to the back end admin panel anymore. I'd appreciate any help, I use this extension quite a bit to update inventory

OK I realize this is probably a really silly question but...
You instructions indicate...
"2)
Copy the files from the 'upload' directory to your target installation directory
of OpenCart."

I have the files/folder structure unzipped on my PC. Am I supposed to manually create the new directories on the server (admin/OLE/ , admin/Spreadsheet/Excel/) and then upload each file individually to the correct location?

Can you please add the ability to handle apostrophes?

Currently if the Product Description, Category Description or any field that is exported has an apostrophe I am unable to import the values back into the database. I know this is a simple string replace on the import and export, but I am not familiar enough with the code to make the changes myself.

Other than that request, this is a great module. Good work!

I have a similar problem when using Qphoric's Category clone module. The import/export feature does not take into account the seperate instances of category boxes. The categories are all exported as though in the original category and the file does not differentiate any categories which have been placed into a second category box via the admin panel, therefore when re-importing the file all categories end up back into the original category box.

Please could you make it recognise the instance field for the extra category boxes in the import/export file.

This module is excellent but until this is done only one or the other can be used which is a great pity.

As written by modhish, the export ignores multiple store ids on product AND categories.
Please fix this.

have another problem
i have 2 store one name default and the another Wholesale.
when i make export from the admin to my computer . all the store come in default when i back i make import the file to admin.
this big problem . because i must back to product in the admin and edit one by one to change it to wholesale.
this also need to repair.

today i add it in my site . but when i need to start the admin site, no need to start . it say have wrong in the site.
the site is work but the admin stop.

That's it! You should now see the Export/Import tool under the menu System > Maintenance > Export / Import (for OC 3.x or later) or under the menu System > Tools > Export / Import (for OC 2.x or earlier).
